METAMATERIALS DIPOLE ANTENNA BY USING SPLIT RING RESONATORS FOR RFID TECHNOLOGY

, 2014

MICROWAVE AND OPTICAL TECHNOLOGY LETTERS, 56, 12, 2899-2903, Décembre 2014

Résumé

The article in hand deals with a new approach regarding
the technique of miniaturization and the improvement of antennas done
by the incorporation of metamaterials. Such an approach is manifested
into two different structures of metamaterial antennas, which are
implemented for the radio frequency identification technology in the
UHF range. The left-hand metamaterials are presented first by the
conventional split ring resonators (SRRs) and second by a new
structure proposed of a SRR Toothed. The parameters considered in this
work are the resonant frequency, return loss, bandwidth, radiation pattern,
gain and the electromagnetic field, and the current delivered by
the proposed antenna. All simulation results are done by CST software.
